Stay safe while looking for a rishta

Take your time. You can end a conversation whenever you feel uncomfortable.

Do not send money to someone you meet through Hamsar, including for travel, an emergency or visa paperwork.
Keep your CNIC, passport, banking details, passwords and verification codes private. Do not share them in a rishta chat.
Keep early conversations on Hamsar. Use Report for a fake profile, harassment or a money request. Use Block to stop contact with that person.
Check the type of verification shown. Email verification confirms access to an email address; it does not confirm someone’s identity or intentions. Paid membership is not an identity check.
Involve someone you trust when you are ready. For an in-person meeting, choose a public place and tell a trusted person where you are going.
Share photos only when you are comfortable. Someone who can see a clear photo may be able to save or copy it.
